Keele University Medical School are currently recruiting people between

the ages of 18 - 50 to join our Simulated Patient Programme and help us

to teach the doctors of the future.

A simulated patient (SP) is an individual trained to role play the part

of a patient to help medical students and healthcare professionals

become more skilled by developing their communication and diagnostic

abilities. Simulated patients are also used in assessment of these

abilities in exams. Simulated patients are also being used in physical

examination and procedural skills training and assessment, sometimes

involving models of body parts.

The use of SPs allow student healthcare professionals to practice their

communication skills in a safe environment. All of our simulated

patients are equally trained to a consistently high level and are

developed on an on-going basis as part of their career as an SP.

We pay our SPs £12.77 per hour (sessions are usually 4 hours) for any

teaching sessions that they work at. Examination sessions are slightly more.

So if you are between the age of 18 - 50 and would like to find out more

please contact me at g.proctor@hfac.keele.ac.uk.

Kind Regards

Gemma __

Thank you for your interest in Stoke Youth Musical Theatre Company.

Our next full length musical production is Sweeney Todd, which will be at Stoke Rep in November 2010.

The auditions (which are open to anyone age 11 – 21 years old) will take place on Sunday 7th February 2010 at Thistly Hough High School (times to be confirmed).

Prior to this, we will be holding pre-audition workshops at Seabridge Community Centre, the first will be 7.30pm Friday 8th January 2010 (which will include the Director’s introduction to the show & the production team).

Attendance of the pre-audition workshops is NOT a requirement, but we feel that attendance of some or all would be advantageous to those looking for major roles.

PLEASE check our calendar and location maps.

Please come along and check us out.:)
